Rutgers University-Camden Alumni Association Awards

Edward J. Bloustein Community Service Award

Dr. Bloustein, the 17th President of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, believed in the public mission of the university and an educated person’s obligation to devote a portion of their time to volunteer activities that enhance the life of their community and assist, in some way, those organizations that provide strength to family life and the fabric of society. Each year, the Alumni Association recognizes a student who embodies the selflessness and commitment to community that personified Dr. Bloustein.

Open to third-year (juniors) and fourth-year (seniors) of all Camden undergraduate programs.

 

Rutgers University–Camden Alumni Association Outstanding Senior Award

The Alumni Association’s Outstanding Senior Award is presented annually to the graduating student(s) who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and service to the campus, both inside and outside of the classroom. Established in 1969, the award honors those who best exemplify the shared values of the Rutgers University-Camden community; a commitment to academic excellence, co-curricular engagement, leadership, and personal growth.

Open to January 2022 graduates of all Camden undergraduate programs and expected May 2022 graduates of all Camden undergraduate programs.

 

Rutgers University–Camden Alumni Association Outstanding Adult Senior Award

This award is given to a “non-traditional” adult student who has demonstrated outstanding student leadership and service to the campus, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Open to January 2022 graduates of all Camden undergraduate programs and expected May 2022 graduates of all Camden undergraduate programs identified as being adult learners or “non-traditional” students, generally recognized as being 25 years and older.

 

Rutgers University–Camden Alumni Association Graduate School Academic Achievement Award

This award is given to a Graduate student for exemplary distinction in academics in their field of study.

Open to October 2021, January 2022 and May 2022 graduates of all Arts & Sciences or Business Graduate programs.

 


 

Rutgers University–Camden Division of Student Affairs Awards

The Rory “Cal” Maradonna Award

The Rory “Cal” Maradonna Award is presented annually to a student to recognize a student that embodies the scarlet spirit and service of Cal Maradonna (SBC 1974, GSBC, 1979); characteristics that include a deep connection to the campus, creativity, and unbridled enthusiasm for all things Rutgers-Camden. The award is presented to a full-time student who has demonstrated considerable involvement on the Camden campus and who has been dedicated to promoting Rutgers-Camden.

Open to third-year (juniors) and fourth-year (seniors) of all Camden undergraduate programs and all Arts & Sciences or Business Graduate programs.

 

The Tommasso A. Borda Memorial Award

In memory of Tommasso A. Borda (CCAS 1983), a recognized campus leader and NCAA Division III student-athlete, is presented to a junior on the basis of outstanding contributions to campus activities, athletics, academics, and community service.

Open to students categorized as being in their junior year (60-89 credits) and that has at been involved in athletics for at least one semester at Rutgers University-Camden.
